How to work out a time hours ago or hours from now
Use the 24-hour clock
3:30 PM is 15:30. Subtracting or adding hours is easy once AM/PM is out of the way.
Add or subtract
11 hours before 15:30 is 04:30. If you go below 0 or past 24, wrap around and change the date: 8 hours after 21:00 is 05:00 the next day.
Convert back if you like
04:30 is 4:30 AM. The calculator shows both, plus the date, so overnight jumps are never ambiguous.
