Start with today's date
Today is the day 0. Tomorrow is day 1. So "30 days from today" lands 30 calendar days later, not 31.
Add the days
Cross month ends carefully: 30 days from 15 September is 15 October, but 30 days from 15 February is 17 March (or 16 in a leap year).

Does "30 days from today" include today?
No. Today is day zero. If today is the 1st, 30 days from today is the 31st (or the 1st of the next month in a 30-day month).
What is the difference between calendar days and business days?
Calendar days count every day. Business days skip Saturdays and Sundays. 30 business days is roughly 42 calendar days, or six weeks.
Is a month the same as 30 days?
Not always. Months have 28 to 31 days. "One month from today" usually means the same date next month; "30 days from today" is exactly 30 days and can land a day or two either side of that.
Does this account for leap years?
Yes. It uses real calendar dates, so 29 February is included in leap years.
